Chicago Dyke March Collective is a grassroots mobilization and celebration of dyke, queer, bisexual, and transgender resilience. It is an anti-racist, anti-violent, volunteer-led, grassroots effort with a goal to bridge together communities across race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, age, size, gender identity, gender expression, sexuality, culture, immigrant status, spirituality, and ability. We challenge fat-phobia and are body positive.
But nothing cures the winter blues and stress of the gift giving season like giving back to others. Even a little bit of your time or a small donation can go a long way for a fellow Chicagoan in need. It's easy to help out at Open Bookswhether you want to just drop off some used tomes, shelve and pack up donations in the West Loop or Pilsen bookstores, or jump into one of their many reading and creative writing programs for students at local schools.

Find Your Walk. Although she has lived in many cities, Chicago is her favorite and her home. Two of her sisters, four nephews and her mom live in Germany and love visiting here. We suspect that his mother also had dementia although she was never officially diagnosed.
It is the first city-sponsored hall of fame dedicated to LGBT people, organizations and community in the United States. Daley hosted the ceremony and afterwards, photos of the inductees were displayed in city hall.
