This course provides an overview of medical education, and considers how it operates as a specific form of adult education. It is especially relevant to educators working with adult learners in medical education, nursing education, or health education. More specifically, the course will focus on how insights from adult learning theory can contribute to the theory and practice of medical education in designing curriculum and developing an appropriate pedagogy in both classroom and clinical teaching contexts.
